Real diagnosis — hardware, software, repair-or-replace recommendation.
Quote before repair
Flat-rate, no surprises. Repair only begins after you approve.
You decide
Repair, upgrade, replace, or walk away. The right answer — not the biggest invoice.
What changes when your computer shop is small, local, and takes the hard cases.
Four things you'll get from Computer Wall that don't show up at a high-volume counter shop or a chain — because the business is deliberately built around them.
Your computer gets real attention.
Your repair isn't one of fifty on the counter. The same person who diagnoses your machine is the one who fixes it — with the time the problem actually deserves. No rotating technicians, no "your case has been escalated," no rushed counter guesses.
A real local shop. Real accountability.
Computer Wall is independently owned and operated by Patrick from a shop on 47 Ave in Stony Plain. When something needs follow-up — six months from now, six years from now — you know exactly where to come back and who to talk to.

End-of-life machines, intermittent symptoms, custom builds, repairs another shop sent back unsolved — those are the cases we like the most. You'll get an honest answer about whether there's a real path forward, not just "buy a new one."
Everything we help with.
Same path on every job: free triage, then Computer Exam, then a clear quote.

The repairs other shops won't take.
If another shop said "it can't be fixed," "you should just replace it," or "your data is gone" — bring it here. Unusual hardware, end-of-life laptops, intermittent symptoms nobody can reproduce, rare boards, custom builds, machines five years past warranty. The repairs that don't have a YouTube tutorial are the ones we like the most.
This isn't a high-volume counter shop chasing the easy fixes. The model is built around taking the time a tough diagnosis actually needs — so the answer you get is the right one, not the convenient one.
- "Won't power on" with no obvious cause
- Intermittent crashes nobody else can reproduce
- Older or end-of-life hardware others won't touch
- Symptoms that only show up at the worst moments
- Custom-built rigs and uncommon configurations
- Repairs another shop returned unsolved

What "5.0 across 153+" actually means
It means a decade-plus of customers walking out feeling like they got a clear answer, a fair price, and honest advice — even when the honest advice was "this one isn't worth fixing."

Computer Wall operates from a dedicated shop on our own property in Stony Plain. That setup isn't a compromise — it's the structure that lets us stay focused on honest diagnosis, careful repair work, and long-term local accountability instead of franchise growth or high-volume counter traffic.
Computer Wall's approach to repair work was inspired by SoftFX — whose way of running a shop first made this kind of work feel worth pursuing — and shaped by CD Computers, where I worked alongside John and Charlene and learned the standards we run by today. The principles they taught — real expertise, honest relationships, the willingness to tell a customer the truth — are what guide every repair.
